Welcome to the Gästehaus Veronika in Dörrenbach, the idyllic farmers' and wineries village on the south l. Weinstraße between Bad Bergzabern and the German-French border. Magnificent half-timbered houses from the 16th / 17th century. The townscape is decorated with artisan carvings.

A special feature is the 1590 Renaissance Town Hall (as pictured above) as well as the old Simultankirch St. Martin from the year 1684. Well marked hiking trails lead through magnificent mixed forests to the Stäffelsbergturm (481 m above sea level) with a round view of the Rheinebene, to the Schwarzwald And into the neighboring Alsace, as well as id Vosges.

Other hiking destinations are the Kolmerberg Chapel, the ruin Guttenburg and the German Weintor in Schweigen. This is where Deutsche Weinstraße begins. The Südpfalztherme Bad Bergzabern is just 4km away from Dörrenbach. Further excursions could be the castle Bergwartstein, Madenburg, Landeck and the Trifels or the cathedral in Speyer.
