Aughavannagh is easily accessible from Dublin Airport (90 mins) and the ferries at both Dun Laoghaire (60 mins. - Holyhead) and Rosslare (90 mins. - Pembroke/Fishguard) so there is no long drive once you arrive in Ireland.

The cottage is also about 20 minutes from Laragh (Glendalough), about 15 minutes from the lovely village of Aughrim and a ten-minute drive from Glenmalure (complete with welcoming pub!). In short, you can easily get away from it all in spectacular scenery in an undiscovered area.

This pretty cottage is fully equipped with very modern convenience (oil fired central heating, satellite TV, stereo system, microwave, washing machine etc.) whilst still retaining all the character of times past. Set in a peaceful wooded glen at the foot of Luqnaquilla, Wicklow's highest mountain, (which rises to over 1000 meteres behind the cottage) the local area has golf, hill walking, mountain climbing, fishing, sailing and blue flag beaches. There are lots of friendly pubs and restaurants nearby and the pretty village of Avoca (Ballykissangel of TV fame) is a short drive away.
