RIACTIVA is a watersports centre located in the northwest coast of Portugal,near the city of Aveiro, and in the pitoresc fisherman village of CostaNova. This centre was opened in 1997, due to the efforts of twowindsurfers to provide good support for these sports locally. Since then it has evolved, and is now recognised, both on national and international basis.

We have been working with foreign groups for five years, mainly from north and central Europe, and mostly during the months of May, June, July and August. In order to further develop this area and expand our services to more companies we send you

some information on our activities and location, so perhaps we could be working together in the future.

In order to understand our offer, as a general overview, we are located in a still unspoiled place, with no big buildings around, with atlantic beaches,  where you can still walk around in the primitive dunes, and with no  crowds. The lagoon were we are placed in one of its beaches, is mostly very  shallow waters, thus ideal for beginners, and for those who want to have alternative   watersports  in their vacation. You can walk straight from thecentre   to the beach(3 min), to the camping or hotel in the same time,

so,  there is really no need for cars or buses to move around, because everything is so near.

Here are some facts:

Our company is licenced by the portuguese tourist board since year 2000,when we obtained our declaration of interest for turism.

The centre is placed in a sand strip with the atlantic ocean on one side and the lagoon on the other side.

The nearest big city with airport is Porto at about 80 Km from the spot.

The centre has, as main activities: catamaran, sailing, windsurfing, kitesurfing, wakeboard,  and kayak.  Alternative sportsinclude, horse riding, paintball, river kayaking  and  surfing.

We were the first official kitesurf school in Portugal, way back in 2001, being part of the wipika worldwide school network, that later evolved into IKO ( international kiteboarding organisation)
