Hotel Cortijo Torre de la Reina
The place called today Tower of the Queen, corresponds to the settlement of rear of one of the camps of King Fernando III the Saint, during the conquest of Seville. In the final years of the 13th century and the beginning of the 14th it was the property of Queen María de Molina, which gave its name to this building forever. The fortress has an enormous interest to be, in addition to real possession, the only rural building of this time in the entire environment of Seville. Needs of exploitation of the farm, they demanded to extend the whole with forgetting of its military sense, organizing a rural hacienda with Renaissance character that served as model for other haciendas and urban houses of Seville.
Given the beauty of the place and its location next to Seville (12 Kms) the habilitation of the whole has been carried out for a small hotel with a small number of rooms, but where the visitor meets history and nature in fullness. At present, the whole is declared as a National Monument.
