The hotel was built in several stages. The original building without hall was built in 1880, the hall was added in the years 1889-1906. Then it was the only hall in Postojna, but there have taken place many events (societies, New Year and carnival dances, performances of dramatic games, various rallies and elections ...).

In 1925 it was upgraded second floor hall. At a very attractive location, the hotel can simultaneously host up to 200 people. The hotel stayed mostly foreigners, were frequent guests from the Czech Republic have also hosted many celebrities of the time, among other things, the Greek king Paul, Russian and Polish princes and later in Italy during the many Italian generals who were then in a store border Postojna.

In 1992, then called Hotel Sports shut down, it started at the end of 2004 and the renewal of May 2005 was completely renovated and converted the first part of the hotel wing of the facility into a modern facility transfer for you. At the end of April 2006 was the renovation of the other two wings of accommodation complex completely finished, but the offer is extended to a total 125 beds, conference center with a hall for 100 people and smaller meeting room, bar, lounge, terrace and restaurant that was once only in Postojna, best known for dances and parties in these places.
