Construction of the castle of Baron St. Paul begins in early XIX century between 1807 and 1808 by the will of its founder Maximilian THELU.

It lasted ten years in total. Maximilian THELU had a daughter who married Baron Humbert of St. Paul a nobleman from the south of France. He offered the castle, its land and outbuildings to Baron in this wedding.

During a visit to the region Baron discovers the castle and its surroundings. He appreciates both the house that the couple decided to settle there permanently. Hames Boucres became the cradle of the family of St. Paul and will remain so until after the First World War.

In all three generations of Baron of Saint Paul will live in the castle. The last of St. Paul left the castle in 1920, when he sold the property to the family Straetman who are gardeners.

Near the castle are covered with fruit trees, even today many Apples and pears are from that time and always give plenty of fruit.

Straetman family retains ownership until the early years early 1980s. The castle passed into the hands of owners unconcerned about his interview and this is the beginning of a dark period for the domain that gradually sinks into neglect and disrepair.

Broken windows, open spaces and walkways abandoned, collapsed buildings are the lot of the castle until 2003.
