The Cottage "Santa Elena" is situated in the town of Villafranca de los Caballeros, province of Toledo, in the Shire Natural de la Mancha.

It was built in a privileged location at the foot of the Lakes Grade and Girl. This lake complex, along with other wetlands, was declared by UNESCO "Biosphere Reserve" in 1981 and by the Ministry of Environment and Rural Development, in 2006, "Nature Reserve".

The flora and fauna of the environment is of great wealth. You can see flamingos, ducks, geese, storks, cormorants, bitterns, herons and raptors such as the marsh harrier and osprey. Its waters are fish such as carp and tench. Of its flora highlight the presence of tamarisk, the Aleppo pine and pine.
