The Green Hotel Golf Resort is situated in the peaceful town of Kinross, surrounded by 5,000 acres of beautiful Perthshire countryside. Ideally located within central Scotland, Edinburgh and Perth are just a short 30 minute drive away with motorway access all the way to Kinross.

Dating back to the 18th Century, The Green was originally a traditional coaching inn, with the stage coaches which ran between nearby Queensferry and Perth changing horse’s right here at The Green. Nowadays of course, the resort is a modern affair with a variety of activities on offer.

The Green is a traditional historic property located just across the village green, offering a wide range of activities from our two restaurants Jock’s bar and our new modern restaurant concept 1567 named after the year that Mary, Queen of Scots, was imprisoned in Loch Leven castle, two excellent parkland 18-hole golf courses, a choice of 2 bars, our very own Backstage Gig venue, 46 guest bedrooms and a wide range of private meeting rooms accommodating up to 80 guests, and onsite complimentary car parking which includes 4 electric vehicle car charging points for guests to use.

Our two fabulous onsite parkland golf courses are The Bruce and The Montgomery. They are both 18-hole courses, mature and well-maintained with wide tree-lined fairways and well-kept greens, providing excellent examples of Scottish parkland golf with the added bonus of magnificent views across beautiful Loch Leven and of the West Lomond Hills. Residents staying at the resort also receive discounted green fees.

The surrounding area offers a wealth of activities to experience in and around our beautiful countryside, including many fabulous walks, fishing, boating, canoeing, gliding and cycling with cycle hire available from savvy cycling. The stunning Loch Leven nature reserve and Heritage Trail is just a short walk from the hotel. Guests can also enjoy falconry, clay pigeon shooting and horse riding close-by. There is also the option of taking in some motorsports at Scotland’s national motorsport centre, Knockhill.

We have Loch Leven Brewery just across the road and live music in our own intimate venue Backstage At The Green.
