Hajdúszoboszló is famous spa town in the northeast of Great Plain, 200 km from Budapest, 20 km from Debrecen. There are three typical landscape around it: Hortobágy, Hajdúhát and the area of ​​Sárrét-Berettyó. The geographical location of Hajdúszoboszló attracted the people of all ages. Archaeological finds and scientific research prove that the city has been inhabited since the Neolithic age. The archaeological sites of the city have come to light. Typical materials for "lithic decoration": dishes made of clay and burnt in fire, decorated with pattern. During the nearly millennium time of the Bronze Age many people turned around in the vicinity of Szoboszló. Pottery, animal bones and beads prove that Sarmatians have flooded this area.

Hajdúszoboszlói Gyógyfürdő Rt. Built in 2000 the first sliding paradise in Hungary at the beach, which gained popularity both in domestic and foreign visitors, but the facility was shortly small. Therefore, with the use of the Széchenyi Plan, which supported the health tourism in 2002, the total investment of more than two billion forints was completed with the complete beach reconstruction, as well as the expansion of the Aquapark, as well as the largest open-air swimming pool of 6200 square meters in Hungary and the Mediterranean coast.

As a result of this continuous development and quality transformation, Hajdúszoboszló's bath complex and its products won the Shiba Award for Shiba Shiba in Japan in 2005, the four star rating of the Hungarian Bath Association, the Northern Great Plain Quality Award and the trademark title of the Hajdú Bihar County Quality Product . Further plans of the city and the spa include the construction of a tourist center where non-profit services and urban and regional tourism exhibitions are waiting for visitors.
