Galicia is the most northwest autonomous community of the Iberian Peninsula, and has four provinces: A Coruña, Lugo, Ourense and Pontevedra. Geographically, it limits to the north with the Cantabrian Sea, to the south with Portugal, to the west with the Atlantic Ocean and to the east with the Principality of Asturias and Castela and León.
Lugo is the capital of the province and occupies a central position with respect to its north and south banks. It is a safe passage city for all who enter Galicia by road through the northern access road.
