The restaurant was founded by a sailor, a crew member of a ship that essentially served to transport goods that came from other ports, until the 15th century. During his travels he met several sailors where he learned the culinary art and for years he passed on his wisdom.
He founded the restaurant with the name As 3 Naus as a tribute to travel in the age of discovery, and as a symbol of honor he had a large cast iron anchor placed in front of the establishment.
