Ged and Paul are pretty passionate about where their food comes from and all of our suppliers are as local as they can be, although quality is always the headline here rather then geography.

Wards have been selling the freshest fish at Birkenhead market for many years, and they make daily trips to Pollards with an array of the very best quality fish which ends up on our Specials Boards, especially on a Friday! Our meat comes from Williams of Flint and Edge & Son in New Ferry; both are well known for their quality and have won many awards over the years.

Williams of Flint delivers our very special Charolaise beef which is now on our main menu – this particular cross breed was Jack Pollards favorite and our 8oz sirloin is served with classic garnish, proper chips and a choice of two delicious sauces.

The Pollards Restaurant is open on Thursday, Friday and Saturday evenings as well as Sunday lunch time, where Ged serves a Prix Fixe menu which he changes each week. Again, The Pollards restaurant only serves very seasonal dishes using the finest produce – and can be also hired out exclusively for your special celebrations and events.

All of the food served here at Pollards Inn is perfectly accompanied by a superb wine list (supplied by Bibendum wines), and a host of real ales, ciders and draught and bottled beers.
